A Family Legacy Born in Florence, Italy
Our founder, Ruben Palazzo, a second-generation master jeweler, began his apprenticeship at just ten years old. His family had just immigrated to the United States from Florence, Italy — a city celebrated for generations of old-world artisans and goldsmiths.
As a young boy, Ruben was instructed to sit, watch, and learn. Every day he observed his uncles restoring heirlooms, resetting diamonds, and performing the delicate craft of fine jewelry repair. What began as simple observation soon revealed something deeper: a natural gift. Over time, the craft chose him.
For decades, Ruben developed his skills with unwavering dedication. His hallmark became a rare combination of perfectionism, fairness, and an almost miraculous ability to repair and restore jewelry that others considered beyond saving.
His work earned not only trust — but lifelong relationships.
Guided by faith in God, integrity, and a heart for helping people, Ruben opened Ocean View Jewelers (OVJ) in 2017. Word spread quickly: OVJ wasn’t just a jewelry store — it was a place where people felt cared for, where family heirlooms were treated with reverence, and where honesty always came first.
The Palazzo name — rich in heritage, craftsmanship, and family legacy — evolved into a new luxury identity: PALAZZO.
While OVJ remains as our foundational, beloved home, Palazzo represents the future: a refined, global-minded jewelry house built upon the same values that shaped Ruben’s life
